The True North Chainsaw Pack holds the saw in next to your center of gravity and prevents it from bouncing or swinging as you move over rough terrain.
Load or unload a saw in seconds: drop the power head into the carrier, attach the bar with one buckle and go.
Pack comes with three drawstring pockets for fuel, water, and other essentials; a Next Generation fire shelter case; and an axe scabbard. Modular design allows you to position pouches anywhere along the belt or back of the saw carrier.
Other features include ultra thick dual-density foam waist belt and harness, and a leather shoulder pad to protect the harness when carrying the saw on your shoulder. Accommodates wrap around handle bars as well as top and side handle bars.

Great for Trail...
As trail runners and a recent adopter of a segment of the Continental Divide Trail, we've encountered an abundance of blowdown along the trail. Clearing the trail for through hikers has been part of our way of giving back. I attempted to modify one of my backpacks to carry a chainsaw, but that was a miserable failure. I knew there had to be a better way to carry my saw into the backcountry for trail clearing. Searching the web, I came across the True North Chainsaw Pack, and the reviews I read were favorable. Further searching showed Firepenny had the best prices. Their shipping was quick!
The first thing my wife said when I told her that I wanted to order the True North Chainsaw Pack was "That's fairly expensive. Do you think it will be worth it?" Not even a quarter through our first day of trail maintenance, I told my wife the True North Chainsaw Pack is more than worth it! It carries the saw nicely and distributes the weight of the saw and equipment/supplies evenly. In addition, the fire shelter pouch neatly accommodates my chainsaw chaps and wedges. The heavy leather patch over the shoulder strap makes carrying the chainsaw over-shoulder comfortable when downed trees are close by. The three drawstring pouches for fuel, oil, and other essentials don't bounce all over the place. I have also found that the pack remains comfortable to wear while actively clearing trail and sawing.
Since I am a trail runner, the only modification I would consider for this pack would be a means to include a hydration bladder. Thus far, I haven't been able to create a re-design to include a hydration bladder, but the third drawstring pouch easily serves this purpose. I have zero regrets about buying the True North Chainsaw pack, and highly recommend it to others! -

I got this for my husband as he is coordinator...
I got this for my husband as he is coordinator for the local Ice Age Trail chapter and helps clear trails. We also use wood to heat our home and have 12 acres of woods. He tried it with one of the smaller chainsaws and it worked really well. Frees up your hands. You can go places the Kubota cannot.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
